Hannelore April 1999

 Hannelore Sauvant lives with her dogs in a neighborhood that was formerly part of East Berlin. She has had English Setters since 1965. Her first English Setter was Gajus of Spittlegrund, a male known as Kuno. Kuno was very succsessfull and won at least the World Championship in Budapest in 1971.
The dogs shows were limited in the former DDR to the yearly DDR Championship and shows in neighboring countries behind the Iron Curtain. Between 1971 and 1986 Hannelore also had the two daughters of Kuno living together with her. They were Fidelius Alpha and Fidelius Betty.

In 1975 Hannelore aquired the rights to the "Silvanus Kennel". In the same year Silvanus Assima, the daughter of Fidelius Betty and Ch. Atos, was born out of her 'A' litter. Silvanus Assima was very succsessful in field work as well as at a lot of inter-national breeding-shows in the following years . During this time Hannelore herself did the hunting training for the future DDR Champion, Silvanus Fantom, out of Fidelius Betty and by Viktor Zdenkov. In 1982 out of Silvanus Assima, the 'G' litter was born; sire was the Hungarian Ch. Palotaszigeti Argos. This litter included the future Hungarian Champion Silvanus Gigolo and the future Champion of Poland and Hungary, Silvanus Gloryette. Silvanus Gloryette is the Great-Great Grandmother of our two dogs. In 1986 after Ch. Suntop Shinning Ben out of Silvanus Gloryette  the 'H' litter was bred, including Silvanus Helveta, who still lives with Hannelore, and Silvanus Hattric.
Silvanus Hattric won in 1991 the working class at the World Championship FCI in Dortmund and became third in the total Classement.

Hannlore has personally trained all of her dogs and they are all qualified to enter shows in the Working Dog class. The hip X-Rays of all of her dogs came out HD-Normal, the best grade in Germany. Two very successful dogs out of the next litters were Silvanus Indira and Silvanus Jordano, the Grandfather of our dogs. Since 1996 Etna Franzciskanski Folwark, known as Erna, has lived with Hannlore. She is one of the Daughters of Silvanus Jordano and now her favourite breeding bitch. Erna is an International Beauty Champion and the mother of the 'K' litter. Out of this litter, she has had Silvanus Kaprice living with her since the summer as a guest.

Before the reunion of Germany Hannlore had been a long time  a member of the breeding commitee for pointer and setter in the former East German Republic and Main Breeding Manager for English Setters as well as for Gordon Setters. Later she was for many years the Chairperson of the Brandenburg-Thüringen-Mecklenburg-Vorpommern association for Pointers and Setters. And she is still involved with the organization as Vice-Chairperson. She is also a member of the English Setter Association UK.

Us- Elke & Hans-Joerg Deichholz live together with our children and our dogs in Hohenkirchen on the North Sea coast, near Jever. Starting in 1986 we had an Irish Setter in the family and since 1999 both Silvanus Kapriccio, known as Karim, and Silvanus Kilian Rex have lived with us.
Our dogs both have their hunting qualifications and were personally trained by us. Our love for dogs led us to connect with Hannlore and this connection has formed a deep friendship. Since the summer of 2001 Hans-Joerg has been the Vice-Chairman of the Northern Chapter of the German Pointer and Setter Club.

Hannelore and Temeraire Torrid Zone, March 2002

     There have been a lot of changes since summer 2001. First Temeraire Torrid Zone, a beautiful tricolor English Setter came from Australia and is now living at Hannelore's home in Berlin. This fine young dog, known as Wombles, gave Hannelore so much joy and helped her to stand Silvanus Helveta's sad passing in the age of nearly sixteen years.
Hannelore is still working as the Vize-Chairperson in her regional group Brandenburg - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

 		   We got a new member in our family too only a feew weeks ago in May 2002. It is a cute young lady Landmark Sarah Jayne and we call her Silky. She came from Australia too and is a half sister to Wombles. We are so happy to see her growing together with our older dogs in our family.
Hans-Joerg was reelected as the Vize-Chairman of the northern Chapter and is know elected as the directory of the disciplinary committee of the German Pointer and Setter Club.

   Since December 2002 the last Silvanus littervhas arrived . Etna Franzciskanski Folwark and Temeraire Torrid Zone had nine puppies together. Seven of them are tricolour and there were seven bitches in this litter. We are very happy that all the puppies have found good new homes. Silvanus Mathilda and Silvanus Millefleur are living with Hannelore and Silvanus Melissa is the youngest member of our family.

Since last weekend Hans-Joerg is not longer Vize-Chairman of the northern Chapter of the German Pointer and Setter Verein e.V.
